Relationships are tough. In all of the various relationships (spouses, children, friendships, etc.) in our lives, there are tensions and conflicts that will inevitably arise. Many times this is the point when people throw in the towel. They give up the relationship because of the difficulties. Maybe a better approach would be to develop the ability to withstand the struggles. You could even call it tough love.
