TOV 25-215 A Love Letter From God: I’m Closer Than You Think

Listen Later

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” — James 4:8 (ESV)

My Son,

I know the moments when you feel like I’m distant. When your prayers feel dry. When your Bible feels silent. When you wonder if I’ve pulled away, or if you’ve messed this whole thing up.But I haven’t gone anywhere.

I never will.

I don’t pull away when you’re tired.I don’t leave when you’re distracted.And I don’t walk out when you fail.

You don’t have to earn your way back to Me.You don’t need to perform your way into My presence. You’re already Mine.

Every time you show up with your journal, I’m there.Every whispered prayer in your truck—I hear it.Every time you open the Word and don’t understand a thing—I’m still speaking. You think you’re chasing Me, but I’ve been walking beside you the whole time.

I see your effort.I see your discipline.I see the man you're becoming.

I’m not disappointed in your struggle.I’m proud of your pursuit.

You may not feel Me every day. But I promise you this—you are never pursuing Me alone.I’m drawing you deeper. Not because I’m far away—but because I want more for you.

So don’t give up.Don’t stop showing up.Don’t trade My presence for comfort or convenience.

You’re not the man you used to be.And you’re not yet the man I’m shaping you to be.But you’re right where you need to be—next to Me.

Keep coming close.Because I never left.

—Your Father
