Let’s get something straight—God is still speaking. The problem isn’t His silence; it’s our signal. Most men don’t struggle with God not speaking… they struggle with tuning in. The world is loud. Your flesh is louder. But the voice of God? It comes like a whisper—and only the disciplined hear it. Hearing His voice is not mystical. It’s not reserved for prophets. It’s the right of every son who’s willing to listen.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” — John 10:27 (ESV)

Jesus didn’t say, “My sheep might hear My voice.” He said they do. That means you can. But like any relationship, it takes time. It takes focus. It takes discipline.

God speaks through His Word first. Always. But He also speaks through promptings, through people, through dreams, through that still small voice that you can’t explain but can’t ignore. The problem is, we’ve tuned our ears to everything else.

If you want to hear from God, you have to:

* Get quiet—turn off the noise.

* Get honest—He speaks to real hearts, not fake versions of you.

* Get hungry—expect Him to speak, and He will.

Most of us want microwave clarity. But God often speaks in slow-roasted whispers. You have to lean in. You have to be still. You have to wait.

And when you hear Him? You obey. That’s how you tune your ears—obedience sharpens discernment.
