The official New Brunswick “Town Clock” is located in the steeple of the First Reformed Church of New Brunswick, NJ. The steeple of the historic church was first begun in 1827 and completed in 1839. In 1828, the “town” of New Brunswick paid $500 to install a clock in the steeple to be of service to the the community. More than 150 years later, the clock continues to be owned and operated by the city of New Brunswick who recently converted the historic timepiece into a computerized system.

The Town Clock CDC uses the symbol of the Town Clock as the inspiration for its name. It reminds us that one of the most important elements of survival and recovery is… time. Our organization seeks to create a safe and supportive environment where survivors can take the time the need to reconnect positively with their own hopes and dreams while re-imagining their place within the community. It is the mission of our organization to continue the expansion of permanent, affordable and supportive housing for survivors, as well as “ringing out” the message that all people deserve lives free from violence.

Our Mission Statement
Town Clock CDC provides permanent, supportive and affordable homes to survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Our Project
