Alexa Antipas a former DI NCAA collegiate fencer speaks up about her experience with a toxic coach, which ultimately left her walking away from the sport she once loved with a bitter taste in her mouth. However, Alexa seeks to break the cycle of trauma through coaching young fencers and being the coach she needed as a young adult. Additionally, Alexa debunks some fencing stereotypes and we learn a lot about the sport of fencing from her. Alexa is candid and vulnerable and her story is not one unfamiliar to many athletes.
