Tenderness for Nurses

Toxic masculinity: A chat with Dave Kramer after the loss of his best friend, Hannah Clarke

Listen Later

Today we chat with Dave Kramer about his burning desire to make young adults aware of the impact of speech, actions and how to treat each other with respect.

Dave lost his best friend Hannah Clarke and her 3 children, 5 years ago, in a horrific domestic violence incident that shocked Australia.

The impact this has had on Dave has been profound.  We discuss how he cared for

himself after Hannah’s Murder.  How an incident like this changes a persons life and how he is now working tirelessly to prevent domestic violence, by working with young adults about appropriate behaviour.

This chat was hard to do.  Hannah’s death was 5 years ago, the day after we recorded this podcast. Dave showed such courage to talk, I sat there listening with tears rolling down my cheeks.

This is a very special poddy. My desire is that in some small way, Hannah and her three beautiful children, will touch you all in some way through the words of Dave and this podcast.
