"Barako" (stud) and "tigasin" (tough) are often used to describe Filipino men, as if  showing vulnerability indicates weakness. 

According to gender rights advocate and professor Michael Pastor, stereotypes like this could be detrimental to our society, and everyone should be encouraged to outwardly express and talk about their emotions.
