Nothing is perfect and we are human beings with a variety of emotions. So denying our negative emotions or overgeneralizing an optimistic state across all situations is what we call TOXIC POSITIVITY. 

Forcing positivity when it means ignoring the true nature of your emotions in a particular situation. 

By not allowing ourselves to experience certain feelings, we begin to repress our emotions which can lead to major health consequences and behaviors.
