Welcome to the Show

Good day and welcome to this week’s episode of the Nursing Show podcast for nurses, by nurses. I’m your host Jamie Davis and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for checking out the show this week. First up, in this week’s nursing news items, we will look at how our increasingly obese patients are having an effect on the way we care for all of our patients. The costs and additional effects are significant.

Then in this week’s special tip segment I have nurse Charlotte Brody on the show to talk about the Healthy Babies Bright Futures alliance and what they are doing to help improve water quality for our patients around the U.S. Find out what you can do to help direct people to a low cost water testing alternative to check their water supply for their children. We’ll have that and more later in this episode after the news.

If you want to get back in touch with me, please drop me an email. You can send those e-mails in to [email protected]. I love to hear from you and I make sure I respond back to every email that comes in. Send me links to news items you’d like me to cover, interview suggestions with you or somebody you know.

Also, I’ll be coming to San Francisco in the end of April to cover the American Nurse Informatics Association or ANIA. If your a nurse informaticist, consider attending this amazing event. Find our more at ANIA.org. That’s it. I will have more contact information coming up later on in this episode. Let’s get on in to this week’s news items coming right up!
