Welcome to another episode of The Pursuit Podcast! This week your hosts Sam Tooley and Joe Rinaldi have Will Thomas as a guest. Will shares a little bit of his background with fitness and exercising and the early steps of his career as a fitness coach. He also talks about balance when it comes to building a business, how to feel productive in your day without doing "work things" all the time, and how to have fun and just enjoy the process of work and fitness goals without setting aside performance and discipline.
"Through the gym I found confidence and [the concept of being] who I wanted to be, unapologetically. I want to help other people find that as well." – Will Thomas
In addition, Will talks about all the benefits that come along with fitness, such as: confidence, growth, self belief, and mental strength – besides the physical ones. A lot of these same benefits also show up when you're running a fitness coaching business. Being a coach and helping others is the same as being a leader and to become a better leader you need to have better communication skills. Oftentimes, this is the result of more listening, more understanding and less talking.
