Today we point the mics directly at one very special guest, who also dupes as your friendly vegan host Isabelle! Isabelle is a vegan entrepreneur and founder of The Plantiful blog and podcast. She’s a co-founder of the online meal plan program Buddhalicious and can be seen at speaking engagements and vegan conferences. Not to mention, she also has a full time job at a startup company called Sawyer, in Brooklyn, NY.
Today we dive into Isabelle’s life growing up in Luxembourg, Europe, exploring what it was like for her as a young child who would make posters about “saving the animals” amidst a rather traditional culture of meat and dairy lovers, and in a household where she couldn’t leave the table until she finished her plate.
Being the youngest sibling with two older brothers whom she looked up on the one hand created pressure to compete with them, and on the other hand an opportunity to create her own identity. Isabelle talks about the freedom she felt when she could make her own dietary decisions later in life, and how moving from Europe to the NYC further fostered her exploratory vegan journey. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Isabelle!
