In this episode Marie-Anne speaks with Writer and Director, Jon Madge (they/them).

An audio sitcom enthusiast from South London, Jon is a life-long student of the creative process. A deep love for reading was further ignited as a child by BBC comedies and dramas, setting their imagination alight.

Jon now channels this passion for storytelling and theatre into Keeping The Zoo, an audio sitcom based on their time working in a petting zoo.

Due for release this summer, Keeping the Zoo is performed by cast members from Downstage Left, an international theatre group in Amsterdam bringing characters to life in front of a live audience.

Jon talks simple yet elaborate sound effects, finding community through performance and the value of holding onto creative outlets.
