Sometime in 2006 the Federal Government opened bidding for the national ID project which Chams Plc emerged as the winner. Chams Plc will then go into a technical partnership arrangement with Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd in 2012 but MasterCard played a fast one on Chams Plc and CCL by going to collide with National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
