In our first official episode podcasters Jesse and Piper chat with Ed Ross co-founder of TradeMutt and TIACS.
Ed is a down-to-earth country boy originally from Longreach and together with his mate Dan he created Trademutt a social impact workwear brand, by tradies for tradies.
Trademutt’s funky and eye-catching shirts are designed to start conversations about mental health, helping to make an invisible issue impossible to ignore.
We chat to Ed about the barriers that country kids and families face when it comes to mental health, normalizing conversations around mental health, seeking support, and what it’s like working with your best mate. Ed shares some wisdom about taking better care of mental health and what advice he would give to his younger self.
Just a heads up, episodes in this podcast discuss mental health issues and suicide; if you or someone you know is in crisis, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14, Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800 or the Suicide Call-back service on 1300 659 467.
Alternatively, you can talk about support available with your doctor or local rural mental health coordinator (RAMHP) www.ramhp.com.au
