This is a story of one of the first documented stories of possession. Mary Roff, dead for twelve years comes back to occupy the body of Lurancy "Rancy" Vennem. Mary and Rancy are caught in a whirlwind of the Spirtualist movement of the late 1800's. Its a odd blend of spirits and scientific people attempting to make sense of at all. Did Mary return to her earthly existence in Watseka, IL for a few months? You be the judge.
