Welcome everyone to being bored. My name is Chris and I just want to talk a little bit about what this show is going to be.
So for the next 30 days I want to be more bored be more present and every week is going to be a new challenge. The first week is going to be a two minute pause of boredom to help us get into the mindset of being bored. One of the things that I would encourage during this week is to try be more bored throughout your day. A way you can implement this into your daily life is by maybe not popping in those earbuds or headphones for the first 2 minutes of your activity and just listening to the environment around you.
In the following weeks, I will slowly add incremental time to this daily boredom routine, and by the end of the four weeks we will be able to do 20 minutes the daily boredom practice.
I just want to be clear that in this practice, this is not to be a strict routine but to help you improve your boredom so if you miss a day, no worries and if you want to implement this into an activity instead of listening to the podcast, that’s totally fine. The goal here is to be more bored or more present in your daily life and help cultivate creativity.
