#StoriesAboutSongs explores Hip Hop history from the vantage point of my decades as an artist, radio host, promoter, event organizer, journalist, documentarian, artist advocate, label representative, and of course, a fan, from the 1970s up until the present.

These stories touch on songs, albums, artists, and/or key movements and moments in time throughout Hip Hop’s history from the 1970s up until the present.

Launching Friday, 10-16-20, with new Episodes weekly, the first season of #StoriesAboutSongs is ten episodes deep, and includes stories about Kool G Rap, Vordul of Cannibal Ox, Ice-T, Rudy Ray Moore, Medusa, Aesop Rock, Monkey Wrench Factor, Common vs Ice Cube, DJ Pooh, Rhyme (Chicago), the iconic Hip Hop film, Wild Style, and a surprise 80s group for the first episode!
