We used to be the bonhomie brothers of revelry we ghosts of the good Life now haunt past each other in the street with a gaze averted towards our feet , spirits and spectres have now all been exorcised by the big dry of sobriety which has turned us into normal members of society ; now they we don't strut so proud or shout too loud , now we just shuffle past you with our eyes down cowed and heads low bowed.
