Two lads from a small town in the UK both of whom have moved on asking a question that anybody local rarely seems to ask.
If you've ever been the one who's "too much," too ambitious, too driven, too focused on where you're going, you'll know the look. The "why can't you just slow down" look or "who does he think he is". Sometimes it's less about you, and more about what your potential brings up in people who wonder why they never chased their own thing.
In London, and plenty of other big cities across the world, striving after your goals is just... normal. Everyone's busy building their own life to worry much about anyone else's.
In small towns, it can feel different. You end up explaining yourself to people who were never quite going to get it. Not because they're bad people, often it's just a lack of direction of their own, and that can spill out as a snide comment, an eye-roll, belittlement or derating of someone else's character and ambition.
Whether this podcast fixes this issue or not it will atleast raise awareness for others in the younger generation that might be stuck dealing with this poison to help them know, they are not alone. This is the silent epidemic of small towns in the UK.
So we're here to normalise something simple: being obsessed with your craft, genuinely celebrating other people's wins, and building the life you actually want, even if that makes a few people uncomfortable. Aiming to encourage others to chase their dreams, regardless of their environment.
Every month, we'll have honest conversations about what it really takes to build an extraordinary life and how amazing people have battled adversity to achieve great things in life and business; putting a spotlight on local talent and remarkable people.
