🏏 ⚽ 🎾 Sports can teach you a hell lot of things that can also be applied in other professions. We were joined by Baxter Holt this week to share what he learnt while playing cricket. Baxter plays cricket for Cricket NSW and Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.
💡 Work Ethic: You need to have the right work ethic and put in a lot of hard work to get the right results.
💡 Patience & Resilience: You will always have highs and lows in your career. And you will also face failure at some stage of your career. That's the time when patience and resilience can play a key role in navigating through that phase of life.
💡 Having a self-belief in your abilities and skills to achieve what you want to achieve.
💡 Setting up short-term goals and long-term goals: It's a great way to keep track of what you want to achieve in your profession in 1-year's time/ 5-year's time.
💡 Fail fast and learn quickly: Don't attach yourself to the outcome. Keep on putting efforts in the right direction. Take feedback from your coaches and work on that feedback so that you can get better in what you do.
