I'm learning that bad days are necessary, but the key is how
we use them. On a bad day, you may feel motivated to seek out anything to make
you feel better. Instead of turning to a destructive place, try searching for a
solution in the realm of information. If you look in places you may not
normally go, you may find exactly what you need. Regarding King Solomon:
instead of asking for wealth, fame, and a long life, he asked for the wisdom he
needed to lead his people and serve. God was impressed with this young man
having the wisdom to seek wisdom, and God answered this prayer. Once Solomon
had the wisdom, God gave him incredible wealth, fame, and a long life, because
he was a man who could properly wield these blessings to serve his people and
the world. That is why we still speak of him. Perhaps it is not that God won't
allow you to be rich. Perhaps God knows better than to allow any of us to be
rich and stupid at the same time. Seek wisdom first, and your wealth/success
will be blessings for everyone, not a curse to you and others. #thoughtoftheday
