For the finale of our ALIVE series, we’re going to talk about one more reality that may be holding you back from feeling alive like Jesus wants you to. God’s grace is amazing; He forgives us and gives us so much more than we deserve. We can never lose His love and we don’t have to hold onto Him, because He holds onto us. But our humanity will always try to bend this into selfish and self-centered living. We begin to think and act like we can take advantage of God’s grace to live godless. We wouldn’t call it that, but the truth is that we set aside God’s instructions and advice so that we can pursue what our flesh wants. And we allow it because of God’s grace. What if this mindset and these choices are missing the life that we’ve been given in Jesus? What if exercising our freedom to choose in this way is derailing what we actually are longing for? Jesus is life, and God’s people live. But that is only experienced when we embrace the transforming work of God in our lives.
