In this episode, we’re getting real about something every nurse needs to reflect on.

I want you to ask yourself: Why are you here? Not just "here" as in your job,  clocking in at the hospital or clinic, but what’s driving you? What made you get into nursing, and what keeps you from walking away, especially when it feels tough?

Look, I’ve been where you are. There have been times in my own career when I questioned if I was on the right path, or if I was just going through the motions. It wasn’t until I sat down and really dug into my "why" that things started to make sense again. And that’s exactly what we’re getting into today.

I’m going to get real with you about my own experiences—the good, the bad, and everything in between—because let’s be honest, nursing isn’t always a walk in the park. But when you understand your purpose, when you get crystal clear on why you do what you do, it becomes a lot easier to handle the tough days.

• Taking full ownership of your choices, your actions, and ultimately, your success

So, I challenge you to take five minutes to think about your “why.” Write it down and keep it somewhere visible—your phone, your fridge, or even your bathroom mirror.
