Why does God allow us to suffer? 

So that we will see and know that we know that he is the deepest desire of our heart. 

So that we will come to the place where he alone will satisfy our hearts and we are ruined for anything in this world that would seek the place above him.

Let us understand that the season of the trial will not last forever. The Lord will bring us through, though it may seem like it will never end.
