Transmisia: a term that captures the prejudice, hatred, and systemic discrimination faced by transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people. Transmisia goes beyond the narrow definition of "transphobia." 

In this second installment of Transparency: A Conversation Amongst Family, your host Randy Nygel and BoDaBaddie are joined once again by their brilliant and beloved sister Xay Dé Fisher.

Building on the foundation laid in Part 1, this episode dives deeper into the ways transmisia is deeply embedded in Western society, and how it uniquely manifests within Black queer spaces. Together, they examine the behaviors, beliefs, and cultural norms that perpetuate harm and invisibility, even within their own communities.

This is a conversation rooted in care, truth, and the hope that through understanding, we can begin to unlearn what never served us.
