Monroe County Sheriff's Office Communications Director Amy Young along with MCSO PIO Sgt. Matthew Bottone interviewed Gary Craig (Reporter for the Democrat and Chronicle), Professor Adrian Smalls (Monroe Community College-Criminal Justice) and Road Patrol Lieutenant Rick Bancroft on the importance of transparency in policing.  We discussed the role that media plays in transparency, what colleges are teaching Criminal Justice students and we got the perspective of a Road Patrol Watch Commander trying to manage a scene but also provide the media and the public with necessary information.
