Here's the story behind my original song called "Trapped In My Head" which was created with similar attributes to Juice WRLD's song, "In My Head"
Being openly sad and in touch with your emotions in music was not always something I was comfortable with, but because of legends like JW, I found myself as an artist and allowed the discomfort to become a place I find comfort in.
My song "Trapped In My Head" was actually written days after I had a bad migraine attack and literally couldn’t get out of bed. So on the second verse when I say, "Stuck in my head again, get out this bed I'm in," that is what I'm referring to. JW's song "In My Head" was on repeat at one point when I had the migraine attack and it's all I could think of. It just made too much sense to get back in the studio as soon as I can get up.
So that's what I did for the next solid 3 weeks was produce, write, record, mix and master, and release a new song telling this story.
I suffer from chronic pain and more recently myalgia, so getting bad headaches is just one of the things I deal with often along with my condition. Writing this song felt heroic and I'm so proud to release it to you.
I wanted to write this as a tribute to the world and also Juices WRLD. I hope his fans and supporters know how much love and respect I have for him. This one is for you kid.
Happy Birthday Juice WRLD!! Your music, raw talent, and complete vulnerability in your music has inspired me so much over the years. Thank you for being you and all you provided this WRLD. 999 forever. R.I.P.
