Rachel Pregunta is a travel blogger from the Philippines. She runs along with her partner Ruben Arribas, the Gamintraveler Instagram account. They started it at first to generate additional traffic to their website but then they realized that they can grow much more on Instagram, that’s why they built their business using both social media and blog. Rachel shares with us how COVID-19 affected their travel plans. One of Rachel’s favorite destinations is Portugal and France mainly because the architecture is very different than what she usually sees in Asia. The gamintraveler focused a lot on the content of their blog at first, to drive companies to advertise on their website, they relied a lot on SEO work and research but when Instagram started, they also concentrated on influencer (partnerships in sponsorships) & tourism work. They were also able to create their own social media agency, helping therefore small entrepreneurs grow their brands. Rachel talks about how important it is to make your brand personal, the challenges she and other couple influencers usually face and how important it is to network with different communities.
