I am travelling soon, a trip to Australia and then South Africa, its a long one, and when planning the trip I thought I might take my MacBook Air, its light and the battery lasts a whole day if not more if I only use it sparingly.
But my partner decided that I was on holiday, and she did not want me working or spending time behind a screen, so I have had to rethink how I might make the odd blog, so this issue of the ScaysTech News Letter is going to include a little sound or audio recording.
But before I leave I need to practice so this is a complete experiment, I am still going to take my paper notebook. For at least 50 years, I have made notes, mostly on a daily basis. often just observations, sometimes thoughts, often site notes, always dated and if I think in necessary, timed.
I started this newsletter on my Mac, but transferred to the iPhone Substack app to complete. OK so note to SubStack, the app does not show drafts, But logging into Safari and the Substack site works ok.
I use a small folding keyboard linked to my iPhone via BlueTooth, it works well, and with a small folding stand to hold the iPhone, I can write, :-). All the tools usually available on the MacBook Air, so next is to record a short audio recording. Well that was easy, no problems, in front of my iPhone logged into my home Wi-Fi, next is to try this out mobile in the field. And logged into a Wi-Fi in say a pub or other public access.
