From 2010-2012, Rebecca and guest speaker Lindsay Cohen settled down in small towns of Mexico as peace corp volunteers. During their time there, they were assigned work to help their communities, but that work had had its ups and downs. While working on their missions, along the way they ended up learning a lot about the Mexican culture and even trying to share a piece of themselves with the community they grew so close to. Listen to them reminisce on their stories and experiences arriving in Mexico as well as leaving.

Lindsay’s Bio:

Lindsay Cohen currently works with Catholic Health as the Administrative Director to The Cancer Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital on Long Island, New York. Prior to Catholic Health, she spent several years in various operational supervisory roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NY, New York under the Department of Neurology. Lindsay’s passion for healthcare administration came to fruition after she served in the United States Peace Corps for 27 months where she was given the opportunity to work in a community health clinic as well as teach a health and wellness class to students. After serving in the Peace Corps, Lindsay earned her Masters of Public Health with a focus in Health Policy and Management from CUNY Hunter.
