Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost 2019
Large crowds gather and follow Jesus, hoping for miracles. Jesus preaches a strangely difficult lesson, what seems like a warning. But Jesus is being merciful to those who hear him, by asking them to consider the cost of following him, because it is a path that leads to the cross. It is a journey that is not lightly undertaken, but one upon which we will need to travel lightly.
