Seeking to avoid further confrontation with the angry swamp dragon, Gaiwan and his companions continue traversing the streams and broader lake areas of the swamp during the night, seeking any trace of the fugitive, Dark Mage Kalron, and their friend and ally, Princess Chania. Weary of the pursuit, they hurry to join with the Princess and her ship on the coast by which they can escape the marshland and any further danger.

Meanwhile, Kalron, free of his shackles and wandering the swamp while seeking his own escape encounters a very unexpected hunter.
