Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth.” Does that mean God wants you to liquidate your retirement? Cash out your savings? Is Dave Ramsey going to hell because he told you to “store up” an emergency fund? Of course not. Jesus isn’t preaching against “treasuring” things. But he is confronting us about which things we treasure.
