In a major speech today the Treasurer will announce Australia will introduce stronger foreign investment rules, as the government tries to bolster domestic investment and local supply chains.

Australia will join other western nations and five eyes partners who have already tightened their foreign investment laws, as geo-political tensions and the risk of economic coercion by foreign powers escalate.
