Hebrews 12:5-11.

The race of faith is not easy. Every step of the way there are temptations, setbacks, opposition, problems, and pains—all of which can make us weary and fainthearted in the journey. While these experiences may feel like pointless punishments that could have been prevented if only God had a care—we must not view our circumstances in this way. Why? Because God may very well be using them as a means of purposeful discipline.

Main Idea: Treating us as His children, God the Father disciplines those He loves.
