This week we look at God’s response to Adam and Eve’s sin, from Genesis 3:20-24.
In this passage, the Lord graciously made clothing to cover up the pair’s nakedness. God also removed their access to the Tree of Life, lest they should eat of it and live forever in a state of sin and brokenness. We also learn that the Tree of Life will once more be made available to those who respond to Christ in faith. In the meantime, we
believers are called to play the same role as the Tree of Life: through our salvation we become conduits of God’s invitation to forgiveness and eternal life through Christ Jesus.
