In the third week of Advent we light the candle of joy. In the midst of a weary world, God has planted the seed of joy in our hearts. Our vision for the future, our hope for coming peace promised through Christ’s return, causes this joy to grow and flourish and spill over to bring beauty to the world around us.

As we continue in Advent, Rob Collis takes us on a journey through Genesis, Acts, and Revelation, and invites us to consider the three trees that emerge in the salvation story of Scripture. He helps us see the starring role these trees play in explaining how God is at work in the world, and how they help us make sense of the season of Advent.
