At the end of November 2024, IoD members were asked to
assess the main challenges facing their businesses.
Unsurprisingly, domestic concerns ranked high on the list, especially the future outlook for the UK economy and the impact of recent government policy decisions, such as the hike in employers’ national insurance and proposed changes to UK employment law.
However, UK businesses must also navigate a bigger picture
this year, consisting of global economic trends, geopolitical tensions and technological transformations.
