On today's episode of Real Creative Humans, I sit down with Treva Ross.
Treva is a Washington, DC–based photographer specializing in street style. Her passion for photography sparked in 2019 during a solo trip through Amsterdam and London, where she rented a camera and began capturing the effortlessly stylish strangers she met along the way.
Back home, she launched @dcgetsdressed, a platform celebrating DC’s fashion scene while challenging outdated notions about the city’s creativity and artistry. Her work has since gained recognition through coverage of major cultural events such as Something in the Water, Capitol Pride, DC Fashion Week, and Jazz in the Garden.
Treva’s accomplishments include collaborating with the Broccoli City Festival to document style and interview artists, being featured on the front page of The Washington Post Style section, and making her television debut on FOX 5 DC.
She also uses her platform to champion sustainable shopping and spotlight local businesses. When she’s not behind the camera, Treva enjoys hiking with her rescue dog, Penelope.
