Ulysses S. Grant deserves a spot on Mount Rushmore.

Not just because he won the Civil War.

Because as president, he:
• Pushed the 15th Amendment
• Crushed the Ku Klux Klan
• Created the Department of Justice
• Used federal power to protect Black citizens

Before the 1960s…
Before the Civil Rights Movement…
Grant was already enforcing civil rights.

Maybe it’s time to add some new faces to Mount Rushmore and get rid of a few.
