Summer camp equals Adirondacks for lots of kids and former kids. There are only a couple more weeks before school lets out for summer, and some kids and parents are already looking ahead to summer camp.

There are fewer summer camps than there used to be, but one of those that shut down a few years ago is about to begin a long hoped for comeback. The Girl Scout camp on Eagle Island in Upper Saranac Lake closed in 2008 after 70 years of girl campers, but this summer it’s coming back, although scaled back to start with.
