How to get acclimated to the heat is the subject of this week’s episode. Did you know there's a difference between heat acclimation and heat acclimatization? Heat acclimation is likely the one that most people will be able to do and we cover a few different ways you can do it if you have access to a sauna or hot tub. We also discuss why it's important, and how your tolerance to heat can be altered by where you are in your menstrual cycle. If you want to even the playing field between you and a competitor that may be in a different time of their menstrual cycle, we talk about how to do that. As race temperatures seem to be getting warmer and warmer, if you know you'll be racing in higher heat this season, and you'd like 100 degrees to feel more like 70 degrees, make sure you are ready to go by applying some of these tips in this episode.
