It's a bizarrely pretentious film maybe trying to satirically criticize the social elite, or maybe trying to be an absurd comedy about the repercussions of our own actions? Or maybe it's trying to be something else entirely. Who knows? We don't! But we still watched it, we still talked about it, and it still got nominated for best picture!
