Trigger Finger

Listen Later

Trigger finger, also known as stenosing tenosynovitis, is a condition that affects the tendons in the fingers. It occurs when the tendon sheath becomes inflamed, causing the finger to catch or lock in a bent position. This can lead to pain, stiffness, and difficulty straightening the affected finger. Treatment options include rest, splinting, anti-inflammatory medications, and in some cases, corticosteroid injections or surgery.
