Once dubbed the "sex change capital of the world" by the New York Times, Trinidad was known to the worldwide transgender community between 1969 -2010, as the destination for 6,000 patients seeking relief from gender dysphoria.  Going to Trinidad explores the medical history of gender confirmation surgery as seen through the eyes of two patients with very different journeys.
