I think that Autotune and Vocoding can be some of the most destructive effects that can be used. I think it’s important to understand how they work, but more importantly when and how to use them with subtlety to keep clarity in your work!
TOPIC: AUTOTUNE AND VOCODING
2005-2010 was when hard tuned stuff was in vogue. In 2018 it’s all about harmonic and melodic textures. Just listen to the music being created in the pop world and you’ll hear it everywhere.
George Taylor (who featured in Behind the Scenes Episode 27) even talked about this idea of harmonic texture. With that in mind, we go on to break down a couple of ways to do this using an autotune plugin and a vocoder plugin! Listen to check it out…
