What are the BWGs doing on a sheep farm in Iowa? Find out as Lisa and Amy discuss Part 1 of “The Happy Valley Mystery.” There’s lots of sheep stuff to translate and the information about caring for the fluffy animals is plentiful. A lost calf, an upside-down sheep, a snowstorm, a great escape, and a gully rescue keep the BWGs busy. There’s also lots of information about birds and a detailed description of the use of sheep parts. Despite all of this action, Trixie is distracted by the mysterious disappearance of sheep from the farm. Ignoring the warning from Uncle Andrew not to get involved, Trixie immediately puts herself on the case. Her first suspect: a strange man with a black beard who “looks like a sheep thief.”
In Lisa’s ender, she breaks out the Trixie Lore for a character description of Jim Frayne.
