Scriptures to address on guarding our Imagination Room/Hearts:

2 Corinthians 10:5: "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ". Philippians 4:8: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things". Proverbs 4:23: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it". 1 Peter 1:13: "Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming". Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will". Proverbs 23:7: "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he...".

How to apply these scriptures:

Actively take control of your thoughts: Instead of passively letting your mind wander, use verses like 2 Corinthians 10:5 to actively bring your thoughts into alignment with Christ's obedience. Focus on positive and truthful things: Intentionally think about things that are true, honorable, pure, and praiseworthy as outlined in Philippians 4:8. Understand the source of your thoughts: Recognize that what you think about—what you meditate on—shapes who you become, as stated in Proverbs 23:7 and Proverbs 4:23. Renew your mind: Continuously work to have your mind transformed by God's truth, as encouraged in Romans 12:2. Be sober and alert: Prepare your mind and be vigilant against negative thoughts and temptations, following the instruction in 1 Peter 1:13.
