The Righteous Jedi

TRJP Ep. 7

Listen Later

Pop-Up Special with Noah Gray, Singer/Songwriter about the heart behind his newest single “Kumbaya” and his walk with the Lord through purpose, pain, and getting back up again.

Noah Grey has lived the kind of life that forces a person to ask big questions — about God, purpose, pain, and what it means to get back up. As a musician, firefighter, and father, he’s seen the weight of hardship and the quiet moments where grace breaks through. Now his kids ask the same questions he once wrestled with, and he’s learning what it means to guide them with honesty, faith, and a little hard-earned wisdom.

Side note: Scripture emphasizes music and singing as vital for worship, praise, and teaching, commanding believers to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude, making melody in their hearts to God, as seen in Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16, and numerous Psalms like Psalm 150, which calls for diverse instruments and voices to praise God's mighty deeds and enduring goodness, encouraging believers to express joy, give thanks, and proclaim His word. Ephesians 5:19: "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (KJV). Colossians 3:16: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly... teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord". Psalm 150 1 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:15: "I will pray with my spirit, and I will pray with my mind also; I will sing with my spirit, and I will sing with my mind also". James 5:13: "Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise".
