This is the second episode of 8-bit Monsters' Monster Deconstruction for D&D 5e. In this episode the sound quality gets much better as I've found a better spot to record my audio in. On top of that, we look at the Troglodyte and find out this monster is a bit underrated of the CR 1/4 it is printed at. Now with 90% less heavy breathing!
The idea of this podcast is to break monsters down into their bare components: DCR & OCR. These two values will allow us to see how strong they are and to see where D&D got the CR values from. I'm doing this because all too often, players skip right to level 3 to avoid the hell levels and possibly end up dead. Generally, each monster is a balancing act that isn't equal to the final value.
If you like what you hear and want to see this process in a visual medium. Then come stop by my YouTube channel and watch the magic in action. There will be extras not present here in the podcast.
